Photography
Taking photographs is something I have always done and is as embedded in my practice as painting and drawing. It allows me another ‘portal’ into the other worlds that fascinate me. The lens allows me to look inside a tiny space, or record an extraordinary natural phenomenon that others might see as everyday. To be able to show the mundane as something ambiguous or precious, or reveal the proximity of the unknown and unknowable within every day life is endlessly rewarding. It again is making sense of the world through a medium – a sharing of the way I live in and explore this world.
